A gas dryer burns natural gas or liquid propane to heat the clothes, but the device also contains an electric motor that spins the wash with a belt. The engine is normally inside the dryer, at the bottom, towards the front of the unit. If the piece you off or has a malfunction, you should replace the dryer to function properly. Instructions
- Unplug the power cord from the dryer and close the gas valve in the tube connected to the device.
- Remove the lint filter and extract the screws underneath the chassis.
- Push the front edge of the dryer to locate the retaining clips at the corners. Remove each clip with tweezers.
- Remove the screws from the side edges of the front and rear panel to remove the panels and expose the interior of the dryer. The motor is located in the lower right corner.
