A pen forgotten in your pocket can cause a disaster on the inside of your washing machine. If the pen intact through the washing process, you may end leak in the interior of the dryer, and staining the clothes inside the dryer drum. Although bleach is used to clean and remove many stains, there are other options when bleach is not your favorite cleanser. There are many products in your home that you can use to clean your dryer drum without using bleach or other aggressive chemical.
Instructions
- Dampen a clean cloth with alcohol. Squeeze excess liquid and rub the inside of the dryer drum to remove ink stains. When ink on cloth, using another, also adding alcohol and continues to clean the stain.
- Dry the inside of the dryer drum with a clean cloth. Look carefully inside to see if any ink stain remains.
- Dampen a sponge stain remover. Rub any lingering stain on the inside of the drum with the sponge. Rinse the sponge frequently to remove the ink transferred and continue to rub the stain.
- Spray some cleaner on the inside of the dryer. Rub the surface with a clean cloth to remove any residual cleaning agents and ink. Leave the dryer door open for about 15 minutes to let it dry.
Tips and Warnings
- Replace alcohol with nail polish remover to remove ink stains on the inside of your dryer.
- Rub butter or shortening in ink to remove it and then clean with butter spray cleaner.
- Spray hairspray if the stain is small and clean with all-purpose cleaner.
