Although cleaning a carpet with shampoo for long hair in home can be more complicated than a regular wash, it is not very difficult. You can use items from home to do regular work. However, if you have a carpet silk based or wool, you need to take it to a dry cleaner because you cannot wash with shampoo safely.
Instructions
- Clean the carpet with a vacuum using the upholstery tool. Most medium hair carpets and heavy obstruct the regular vacuum cleaners, so it’s important to use the upholstery tool to protect the life of your vacuum cleaner.
- Sprinkle the carpet with water and then spread a uniform quantity of bleaching powder. Use a clean towel to rub it. You should see no foam, but the dust must “disappear” while restrings.
- Use a steam cleaner to remove the bleach solution powder. Each steam cleaner is different, so check the operations manual for more information, if you’ve never used one before. Be sure to spend the steam cleaner on the carpet completely and all edges and corners are cleaned. Also be sure to change the water in the steam cleaner (again, check the manufacturer’s specifications for manual) often if you see the dirty water returns through the hose from the tank.
- Fold the carpet on the grid Laundry in a warm, moisture-free. Outdoor is the best option, but if that is not possible, a bathroom with a dehumidifier also works well. Do not place the carpet on the floor until it is completely dry to the touch.
