How to clean shower’s tile grout

You work hard to keep your home clean and the shower bathroom is no exception. But if it seems that no matter how diligent you are with the routine cleaning of your bathroom, the horrible spots reappear in the grout between the tiles. Use the proper tools and cleaning products to get rid of the stains and then apply preventive measures is all you need to keep the grout and the tiles of the shower sparkling clean and free of mold and mildew.

Instructions

  1. Remove the layer formed by soap residue on tiles and grout with white distilled vinegar. Fill the spray bottle with this product and soaks such surfaces. Let sit for 15 minutes and reapply. Use a scrub brush to scrub the tiles. An old toothbrush is ideal for cleaning grout. Rinse well with cold water and dry with soft cloth.
  2.  Apply lemon juice to all areas of the grout requiring extra attention. Soak a cotton swab or a cotton ball moistened with the juice and the area. Allow standing for 5 minutes and rubs the soft bristle brush to loosen and remove stains. Rinse all residue and dry well.
  3. Apply a coat of car wax to clean and dry tiles. This will seal the same and the slurry thus also repelling water. Allow the wax to dry and bright polish it until following the product instructions.
  4. Daily clean the tiles with a cloth after showering or bathing to keep them shiny and free of stains or soap scum buildup. Reapply wax once or twice a year.
