It is always an unpleasant experience one of your drains clogging and leave you with a mess. There are many products on the market designed to remedy clogged drains, but it would be ideal to avoid the problem from the beginning. Not many people think ahead to prevent clogged drains, but there are many ways you can keep the water running through your pipes gently. Read on to learn more.

- Pour fat from cooking in used cans. Fat is highly damaging to your pipes, as it accumulates on the sides and acts as a trap for the waste of discarded food. Over time the accumulation of particles causes the drain plug.
- Get your deposit. If your plumbing is equipped with a garbage disposal, make sure you run cold water freely to move the pieces of food through your pipes. But let run enough water each time you use the tank, food can stick to the sides of the pipes and form a plug.
- Boil water to keep the pipes clean. Either weekly or monthly, you boil a kettle of water and pour into every sink in your house. Use a kettle in each sink to dislodge grease or soap.
- Clean the plugs regularly. Once a week, remove all plugs and blockers sinks and wash them deeply. The plugs are the main places where loose hair accumulate and clog the drain.
- Make it a habit to download only products marked as “downloadable” down the toilet. Never download large or heavy paper down the toilet. Not comply with this rule may cause the whole drainage system may be stopped, or at least the toilet is clogged. Place a landfill for non descagables products and empty it regularly.
- Install strainers on all drains in the kitchen and bathrooms to prevent hair, soap and food scraps from entering the pipes and clogged drains. Just make sure you keep clean strainers.
- Recognizes a plug in training. When you notice that your drains are getting slow, it is time to take action. Use a plunger to remove or dislodge the buildup before it becomes a bigger problem.
